As jy stilbly, voel dit of jy huigel.

  • Can meditation be bad for you?
    Deur : Mary Garden
If one isn't after enlightenment or spiritual experiences, then I can't help thinking that exercise may be better for physical and mental well being than meditation. I just love my morning swims in the local swimming pool.   [Lees Meer]

  • Mindfulness: How to begin
    Deur : Rob Nairn
Any form of activity in the world is dependent for its success or failure upon the degree of attention and clarity we are able to bring to it. These are qualities of mindfulness, so a mindful person is more likely to succeed in the world than someone whose mind is scattered and distracted  [Lees Meer]

  • The Language of the Somatic Self
    Deur : Charlie Badenhop
When your body is relaxed and breathing freely, it is saying "Yes" to life, and you are able to perform with confidence. When your body is tense and short of oxygen, it is saying "No" to life, and you might struggle and find it challenging to accomplish your goals.   [Lees Meer]

  • Mind over Genes: The new biology
    Deur : Bruce Lipton, PhD
It is now recognized that the environment, and more specifically, our perception (interpretation) of the environment, directly controls the activity of our genes. Environment controls gene activity through a process known as epigenetic control. This new perspective of human biology does not view the body as just a mechanical device, but rather incorporates the role of a mind and spirit. This breakthrough in biology is fundamental in all healing for  [Lees Meer]

Verhoudings

  • Being
    Deur : David Schnarch
As Human Beings, we have equal but opposing driving forces: on the one hand each of us want to be an individual -, achieve great things as an individual and be acknowledged as an individual. On the other hand, we want to be part of a relationship / a group / a "tribe"; we crave a sense of "belonging to"; being "emotionally connected to".   [Lees Meer]

Gebeure wat ons lewens beïnvloed

  • How Doctors Die
    Deur : Prof Ken Murray
It’s not a frequent topic of discussion, but doctors die, too. And they don’t die like the rest of us. What’s unusual about them is not how much treatment they get compared to most Americans, but how little. For all the time they spend fending off the deaths of others, they tend to be fairly serene when faced with death themselves. They know exactly what is going to happen, they know the choices, and they generally have access to any sort of medical care they could want. But they go gently.  [Lees Meer]

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it - Helen Keller
